Huge amounts of public money spent, an extra Bank Holiday to further add to the other three that would already slow down peoples' post, and of course the constant media barrage about two people we don't know getting married. I bet they were having constant orgasms in the offices of the Daily Mail and Daily Express. Thanks for the great timing of the death of Osama Bin Laden. It meant we actually had news coverage of something that really mattered. Now though with have the coverage of nothing, also known as their honeymoon. We don't know where they've gone, and I for one don't care. And on their return, yet more about them. I wish them well, and all that, they seem nice people, but there's proper news out there, stuff that really matters.

Being English

Yesterday was another Saint George's Day, so once again an excuse for people to be 'patriotic'. Yes, the 12th of November. Why? Really, why? Can't they at least wait until it's actually December? First, the things I liked:

The inflatable stage cover. That always looks cool.

The random appearance of Barney the Dinosaur.

The snow machine. More on this later though.

Two great big video screens.

But the thing is, it's still pointless and a waste of money. Also, how about actually having impressive lights? The main ones may look nice, but they are just white ones that flash on and off. Hardly worth bigging it up that much is it? And going back to the snow machine, yes it was pretty cool, but it didn't exactly cover much of the market area with snow. Also, did anybody actually see the advertised camels? Maybe they were canceled due to the weather? November, and the weather is not so good? Who'd have thought it?

Oh well, it was good for some photography.

The war in Afghanistan

Just fuck it.

Nothing is worth the needless loss of life, and basically, that's what it is. Why? Well it showed him for what he is. A racist fascist homophobic idiot. As for the anti-fascist protesters, I think that wasn't such a good idea? Why? Well I think it was best to expose him for what he is. Much as I support them, that wasn't the best way of going about it. The programme itself made for superb viewing. It was so great to see him digging himself into a bigger hole every second he spoke. And then to Mr Griffin himself. Why did he feel the need to try to laugh everything off? Could it be because he was basically shitting himself, and knew he couldn't get out of it? I think yes.

Please BBC, more of this.

The rise of the fuckwits

What is it with chavs?
